I'm already on meds for my blood pressure, and that's why I am trying too loose weight, I have 100 pounds to loose.

Re: Raise your hand if you have hypertension
purelife, your post ended up in Moderation, who knows why. Since it was posted in a very old thread, I just moved the post, approved it and started a new thread.
You've taken a good step towards lowering your BP.
I've not had to take any medications but my BP was very high prior to losing weight. Normal and a healthy range was a benefit of losing 40+- pounds.

I was borderline.
Since losing all this weight, I'm back in the normal - upper normal, but normal - range.

I was in stage 2, lost about 100lbs and I'm low-normal now. No doubt you will too.

Re: Raise your hand if you have hypertension
Always had high blood pressure as far back as I can remember. Finally ended up in hospital for a week with it being 200 over something horrible...hoping to get it down with this woe. Good luck with yours. At least you know you're in the right place and with the right eating programme.

I was 170/110 with meds at the ripe old age of 28!
