    VITAMINS..... taken
    FOOD.....
    decaf w/stevia, half n' half
    waffle:
    flax meal, oil, hazelnut flour, egg, baking powder
    Olivio spread
    SF Maple Groves syrup
    a slice turkey pastrami
    4 slices of pepperoni
    1 slice cheese
    1 T mayo
    pork rinds
    5 oz. tomato juice 5 nc
    green pepper 7 nc
    1 T natural peanut butter

    carbs: 43.3
    fiber: 15.3
    net carbs: 28
    veg carbs: 12

    NOTES.....
    not enough veg carbs. if i would have added just a couple more i would have been spot on for what i can see.
    still in moderate ketosis
    weight was up by 1# on the 21st but i can see i had more salt than usual and my water was just at 64 oz.

    i have pretty much skipped over the added cheese/dairy. i'll still end up with about 30+- net carbs if i do this right.
    as per my stats journal,
    1. i don't want to add any more cheese. i think more than 2 oz a day is not so good for me.
    2. it would allow me to eat carb smart but i really don't want to do that during the week. i wish to save it for a weekend treat.

    Great to see you here Jo! I love seeing the info in your posts too. I agree with you on the cheese. I am the same and have long since given up on the possibility of having Carb Smart til maintenance but it is worth it.

    NOTES.....
    i am only posting the nc's of my veggies at the moment.

    my food scale is giving me different numbers than what i get at fitday. if i can manage it, i'm going to use just the food scale instead of fitday. it's just too time consuming to figure things on the scale and then do the same thing at fitday just to get the total carb counts.

    net carbs were good, where i was wanting to be.

    nuts/seed should be right at 5 nc. IF THE COCOA is considered a seed then i had 6 nc's for the rung.

    lastly, i don't want this to be a repeat of my stats journal so if it's ok, i won't be specific with exercise entries.

    I'm still figuring this type of journal out so bear with me................

    22 January
    WATER..... 67 oz.

    EXERCISE..... at work for a couple hours, loaded/unloaded/stacked a rack of wood with dh's help

    OWL ~ 3. Seeds and nuts ← 30 - 35 net carbs
    FOOD.....
    decaf w/stevia, heavy whipping cream
    PB and cocoa MIM: flax meal, oil, egg, baking powder, 2 T natural pb, 1 T cocoa
    waffle: flax meal, oil, egg, baking powder, 2 T hazelnut flour
    maple grove Farms sf syrup
    butter
    4 oz. tomato juice 4 nc
    pork rib w/onion 6 nc
    hamburger w/peppers .5 nc and onion {combined the total with the above onion}
    tomatoes and zucchini 4.9/1.9 nc's respectively

    carbs: 59.9
    fiber: 26
    net carbs: 33.9
    veg carbs: 17.3

    NOTES.....
    I am only posting the nc's of my veggies at the moment.

    DH and I went to dinner after he came to help me at work. I had a Chicago burger, ditched the ciabatta bun and the tomato/zucchini blend. I had to just estimate the numbers for that meal

    For anybody wondering, yes, that is a lot of flax meal. My explanation is this. After my radiation, I had to take a supplement that helped with some issues stemming from a radiated colon. It wasn't until I started eating flax that I was able to get off the supplement.

    5 net carbs came from the nut/seed rung so I'm good with that. And very thankful to have a bit of peanut butter back in my life.

    NOTES.....
    i decided to put the actual ounces of decaf, instead of mugs, into the fitday program. i had a bunch today, explained later. was still able to drink all my water, though.
    i had a quite a bit of bacon today, 6 1/2 slices worth. it's a natural brand by Hormel. Natural Choice

    1/2 MIM? yeah because dh ate the other 1/2! he's never had a MIM in his life! but the guy is giving up bread for the time being but still wants something with his eggs in the morning. so 1/2 the MIM was it this morning. i spread the batter into 2 ramekins and once they are cooled, i toast them.

    The carbs don't add up to the 30 - 35 expected. i think i need to adjust that since i'm pretty much skipping over rung 2. my total should probably be 25 to 30 net carbs.

    nuts/seeds = 5.5 nc's which is doable for the rung.
    all of this makes me think a lot.

    ok, does anybody have any input for the red highlighted part? does that sound right to you? i swear my mind is jumbled up at the moment because i'm still using my food scale and fitday.

    explaining the massive amount of decaf today..........
    some of you know that dh works second shift so our mornings are like most of y'all's noon time. we got to bed at 3 AM last night and laid awake for another hour. it was not a good night of sleeping, being woke up several times and then by 8:30 i couldn't take it any more. i just got up and started my coffee pot. 4 hours later, dh got up.
    basically the coffee was filling me up {not wanting to wake dh with making breakfast for myself} and it was a way to keep my hands warm. i did not increase the amount of stevia or cream. i just rationed it better.
