Welcome. Nice to see another voice here. I've done it half a dozen times myself. The last time I got very strict and also checked into the candida issues that I have and I was able to lose 110 lb but I didn't keep it off because of family stuff happening. Took me five years to decide to have the will to start it over again and I had to be a little stricter than last time with the calories but I'll tell you, the weight has come off steady and faster than ever before and this time I think I'm in it to win it.

    Awesome, good luck to you.
Had a really sluggish day yesterday , Day 4. Low carb flu with fuzzy head feeling. Much better today. Down a pound and a half. Looking like ketosis has arrived. Can’t be bothered with the sticks, going by my bodily symptoms. Drinking as much water as I can.
Trying to plan food ahead as well as prepare meals for the carb lovers in the house. Family not on board with this WOE. I postponed long enough doing it for that reason.

My family wasn't either, initially. Since then one son has adopted eating this way and he lost a significant amount. My husband won't go full low carb, but he is eating a lot better than he used to so I figure thats sort of a win. My doctor is happy with my plan-- whats not to like, the number speak for themselves. Today was 195.4 up slightly. Not sweating it. PLan a good cardio today and that usually spurs a little drop. Been off on the amount of water I am getting in now that the weather is cooler. Not enough water tends to slow down losses for me.

Hello, Chinadoll! I've been gone a long time and the scale shows it, so I came back for some accountability with the exercise challenges and it seems that feature has stopped a couple of years ago. It's good to see that there is still some activity on ADBB.

Hi Guys. This is the first time logging in in YEARS. I'm so glad to see you both.

It will be 10 years since I started my Atkins journey and am still a proud 'card carrying member'. I could lose 10 pounds, but all in all, I'm maintaining.

There is a reason I was compelled to check this site out (and to dig out all my old passwords!...got in on try 5!!!). So I WILL be checking in again soon. (I visit here from my desk at work)

SoooOOooo. I'll visit next Tuesday to surf around and see if there's anything up.

    I love this place.

So nice to see you both!!!! Sunny and Candy, I am getting closer to goal and am terrified of how to maintain. I know I still have some bad habits that rear their ugly head from time to time. Any advice on how to approach this??? I had gotten close before then my parents' illnesses (I was a 24/7 caregiver and 10K miles from my family to care for them) and subsequent passing just threw me for a loop and I regained about half. Took me till 2019 to get my head seriously in the game again. I DO NOT want to do this again. SOOO nice to see someone check in on this thread. liv pops in and out too from time to time so feel free to visit, I welcome the company.

OK after two weeks of messing around I got on the scale and was back up a couple pounds to 197. I can live with that. Have had 2 good days of food, water and exercise. Hoping to keep the momentum going

196 today. Still sore from Monday's workout. Did arms and a walk yesterday and plan to do legs and a walk today. Settling back into a good routine again.

Got in a full leg workout and some ab work last night. Staying on track. Not easy these days, but the payoff was 194.8 on the scale this morning. As the old syaing goes...if I work thru the plan, the plan works. My new mantra.

    Hi Jill,

This WOE is something that we need to be aware of ALL the time. It's those moments that we forget and think we are 'normal' which are the pitfalls once we reach goal.

We all have those pitfalls, but Getting Up Again is the most important thing of all. I cannot imagine counting all those times I fell and got back up. Sometimes it's still several times a day. I try very hard not to beat myself up and just move on cleanly and kindly. I also am VERY AWARE of how my body reacts when I don't follow the plan...and it is NOT GOOD. Bloated, nasty cravings, brain fog and an over all 'not feeling good'.

I'm kinda there today. But I had a clean Day One yesterday and on the road to a clean Day Two. Yay me!

I am fortunate to absolutely love my workout routine. It is still barn work and riding. NO GYM!

    Have a successful day.
