    Post Well here i go again!

    So this becomes my new journal and I will be recording my new Atkins journey from today. I started my induction a few days ago but I haven't started as well as expected because I have not been able to meet the 20g minimum required on this phase. I realize this because I have started tracking my food daily.

    I am hoping to get this down by today and to keep to this level for the next two weeks at a minimum

    So my goals for the next two weeks (counting from tomorrow) are:
    To track food daily
    exercise 5 days a week
    eat 20g of carbs daily
    keep out my natural cheat meals and triggers (peanuts, coconuts and sugary snacks)
    Drink 300cl water daily
    Record my stats here daily
    Clean Page - The Plan
    30 days induction
    weigh daily
    drink 5 bottles of water daily
    keep to 20g net carbs
    no peanuts, no strepsils and no coconut
    log in everything i eat of fatsecret
    Work out but dont over do it

    Hi Margie, you don't have to eat 20 grams of carbs you can eat up to 20 grams of carbs and remember that's net carbs and most of them should be from your low-glycemic vegetables at least 55% so you might be just fine for today

    Thanks for the reminder Jill. I have to check if I have been tracking net carbs. Forgotten how that works. I have thrown out any carb that is not a vegetable today so I look forward to seeing the right results going forward.

    Day 1

    Starting off well.
    Rest day for running but did 100 jumping jacks and 40 seconds plank
    Also plan to do some yoga (fingers crossed)
    Thrown out the trigger meals and having serious cravings
    Tracking food

    Day 1 went quite well. Realised I was counting my carbs wrong and I have nit been doing as badly as I thought
    Carbs 11.73g
    Calories 1856
    Fat 74%; Protein 21% and Carbs 5%
    Yesterday was a rest day from running but i ended up dancing for three hours in the evening and raking up 26,000 steps
    I am having headaches today, I am thinking this is ketosis, I am uncomfortable but happy to be in this zone.I feel like I am losing some weight (maybe my imagination but i am taking it)
    Will work on upping my water today, I have not done too well so far

    The headache may be dehydration too and if thats the case, your body is going to hang on to all the water it can. Not good for the scale. Your macros look good though and wow you sure got in your steps! I am not walking today but will do a tough upper body workout tonight. Had a beef steak tonight and it has been awhile since I had one. Tasted so good.
