I've also read that the length of the inside of your forearm from the crease of your elbow to the wrist is the same as the length of your foot. Weird.

Yes, I'd be afraid I'd poke my eye!
I just took my finger and put them on either side of my eye and then moved it over to put on the inside of both eyes to see if the distance was the same.
