  • Ouch! That's gotta be above my BMR!

I was traveling around today and didn't have time to enter things into fitday like I normally do (one meal at a time, dinner is usually just the last few ounces of water and maybe a string cheese while breakfast is usually huge). Everything I roughly swagged when I entered it in, and it looks like I hite over 2200 calories, with 76 percent of that coming from fat alone! That's around 190 grams of fat (19 was protein and 5 carbs)!

I drank my normal amount of water, so what's the board say? I'm going to hit the gym like I do everyday, but if it turns out I gained some weight, should I drop down five or so carbs from my CCL?

Heck with it! It is just one day and one day is not what got any of us thin nor is it gonna get you fat. You lose a little each day and even when you have a outta control day, you will continue to add losing days to it. Calories will come and calories will go. If you screw up your carbs, that is when you really have to knuckle down b/c then you're risking ketosis and all the cravings, etc.

You'll be fine, girl! Any weight you see show up is likely to be water anyhow. No sense messing with your OWl for any of that!

Thanks, that makes me feel a bit better. Can't believe I turned out to be so fitday dependent, it looks like my appetite wasn't suppressed at all

I doubt it was your appetite. You probably just grazed or reached out of habit or whatever. It would be better really if it was your appetite. Then youwould know your body had needed it and it REALLY wouldn't matter!

Stepped on the scale today........150 pounds! Yikes, I doubt a person can have that much water weight! Then again I know I didn't eat 15000 calories either.

First off, 5 carbs and 75% fat is definitely not what a person moving to Pre-Maintenance should be eating. I hope today was the only day you did this and it is not representative of how your OWL has been.

If it was for today only, then you haven't done "damage" to your weight loss.

By the way, BMR means "basal metabolic rate". That is represents the amount of calories one's body requires to do the functions of living (breathing, heart beating, heat regulation, etc.). In other words, it's the amount of energy you require if you were comatose in a hospital. So for those of us, not comatose, it's okay to eat above it.

I always wondered what it meant, I thought it was just what we should be eating *rolls eyes at myself*. And nope, usually I have about 60 or so come from fat, that's why I started to very slowly freak out as I entered everything in- then I kinda melted when I posted this and vowed to hit the gym for three times longer than I usually do. Actually, they should be open by now!

I think it's because I ate so much yesterday, but I'm not hungry at all this morning and I've been up for hours! Is it ok if I skip breakfast, maybe have a early lunch?

Re: Ouch! That's gotta be above my BMR!

If you are not hungry at your 'usual' meal time then dont eat but once the '6 hours without eating' arises then have a small snack with some fat/protein and a little of your day's carbs.
When the next 'usual' mealtime comes round if you are not hungry then dont eat but again have a little something when the '6 hours of no eating' comes around again.

You may need to choose more nutrition-dense foods for these small snacks to make sure you do not lose out on vitamins and minerals.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

If your not hungry today dont skip meals. At worst eat 1 boiled egg for breakfast, 1 for lunch and 1 for dinner but DONT skip meals.

Trust me I learnt this the hard way over many years of yo yo diets.

When I was still trying to lose, I did BETTER by eating at least one very high calorie day out of the week. Your bod might need it!
