  • Celebrate, Bren is Blue again

I just noticed that Bren, our beautiful and lovely and sweet admin has gone from red to blue and while it really gives me a little sick feeling not to have her at our helm any longer, I also want her to know that we welcome her into our mist of the formerly know as Admin crowd.
Bren deserves a break, she has been at the helm for the last 3 years, taking over about this time 3 years ago and she has seen it all and done it all. She has friends all over the world now due to all she has been and done for this board. She has lead the way from this being a small little bulletin board, to a great family place that we come back to over and over again. This board is kinder and gentler because of her leadership. You can depend on this board, because of her leadership . I know this board will not be the same without her leadership and the sadness that I feel is palatable.
On the other hand, the joy that I have is also great cause she will have more time for us, to play, to support, to tease, to enjoy.
Thanks Bren for the last 3 years, thanks for all the tears and frustation. Thanks for listening to all my grips and woos. Thanks for putting up with me when I was a jerk. Thanks for putting up with me when I was right and you were wrong and thanks for when I was wrong and you were right. Thanks for
being my friend but mostly thanks for being a friend to this board.

That news makes me blue, too! She's sure been the best of the best - It'll take a long time to adjust to board life without being under Bren's wings. No one can replace her vigilant contributions as an admin. Thanks, Bren, for all you've done!!!

Re: Celebrate, Bren is Blue again

oh thanks you guys! Making me blush here!

It was honestly one of the hardest decisions I have made in a long time. But, sometimes life throws things at you and you just have to do what you have to do!

If you have read my post in diabetic forum you know my husband is having health challenges. We are finally winding down from all the surgeries to save some of his sight and shortly believe he will be declared legally blind. With that I have had to step up my office duties and will also be taking on more shifts at Curves. Which means more EXERCISE! My Mom is also having health challenges so I need to spend more time with her too.

My time is now limited and I do not think I can be around enough to be an effective administrator. It is a time consuming job. But I do think the board is in excellent hands right now.

I need this place alot more then it needs me! Keeps me on the straight and narrow. So, not going anywhere and joining the ranks of the "retired" here at .

Again, thank you and know it has been my honor to be an administrator here at ADBB.

Hey Bren, I'm new, but I want to extend thanks for all that you have done to make it the place it is...It keeps me on the straight and narrow too. Its a wonderful place and I am sure more than I'll ever know you have paid a price to make that happen...for that thanks. I hope that the time off will allow you freedom to pursue and take care of the things that you must deal with...Good luck in your endevors. And again, thanks.

                Dear Bren

Thank you for your love of life and wanting to help share the Atkins Way of Life with the World Wide Web. You have undoubtedly aided thousands with all your love, sacrifice, patience, advice and sticktoitness. (it that how you spell that word?)
I'm so sorry to hear that your husbands health is poor. Diabetis, oh Lordy, such a stealer. And then your mother as well, to much for a caretaker to handle.

I've always wondered why you loved curves so much... now I know why.. duh. (insert lightbulb).

Well I hope I will get to see your posts once in awhile. If you get to run amuk at all , I hope that you get to stop by my pad. There's always a bottle of water a celery stick and some cheese. Thanks for being an angel to many of us. Love and prayers to you and DH. patty
Lord, my dream is to lose this weight and to be healthier.
