Linda's site has something like faux hash browns made with Cauliflower, You could fry up some Ham slices of sausage, Leftovers from the night before, etc.

Do you hate eggs as themselves (fried, scrambled, etc) or do you hate them all together (can't stand anything that has egg in them even though you can't taste it)? Cause you could make a tasty meat and veggie quiche. In my opinion you can't really taste the egg, the mock danish also doesn't taste like egg either.

What is Linda's site? that sounds interesting!!

Can't eat themselves..boiled, fried, etc.. BUT if they are chopped really small in like in tuna I can eat it... I don't like the whites... texture issue and the flavor by themselves makes me gag.. If I can't 'taste' them its fine or not big chunks of egg because of the texture of the whites... that make any sense? Where do I get these recipes for teh meat and veggie quiche.. that sounds GOOD!!!

      Thanks.

Re: What do you have for breakfast?

I make crustless quiches every few days and eat a slice for breakfast most days.

Very easy and you can use up leftover cooked meat and veggies in them.

Here is a link to the recipe I use which is in the recipes database
        http://lowcarbrecipes.org/index.php?...w&recipe_id=30

BTW Linda's recipes are great and are even marked with a * if they are induction-legal. She is a member here and her recipes are at http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

I love steak and eggs for breakfast. Since you don't like eggs you could try another one of my favorites...cooked cabbage with kielbasa. Yum!

Ialmost alwayshave one of those muffin in a minutes and a cup of coffee. It gets a lot of my fiber in early and fills me up . Gives a good if not perfect ratio of the crabs/fat/protein and I blance that out during the rezst of the day with the remainder of my meals.

Re: What do you have for breakfast?

I believe you can have salsa, count carbs and watch for sugar.

                    I love Linda's site!

I also have easy items since I re-heat items at work for breakfast.....
                    Egg salad w/celery & Onion
                    Chicken salad w/celery & onion
Left overs from dinner (cheeseburgers, chops, chicken, etc - mix w/green peppers, fried onions and butter)

I am not an egg eater either and what I have for breakfast is generally what most people have for lunch or dinner ........ this morning I am eating a hamburger with greenbeans peppers and onions ....... topped with ranch dressing. YUM!!!!!!!

Re: What do you have for breakfast?

I often don't leave myself enough time in the morning to really cook anything and on work days I eat in my car. Luckily there are enough red lights that I can still eat things that require utensils! Also my microwave is broken so I can't even nuke something quickly!

Given those restrictions, for breakfast I have been having:

--tuna salad with onion, celery, mayo, black olives and a squeeze of lemon
--chicken salad with onion, celery, mayo, sliced green or black olives, a tiny bit of sour cream, and dill (occasionally a little mustard too) (I try to cook up a lot of chicken on the weekends so I have some ready to chop and stir in, but I have also been known to buy the packages of grilled or poached chicken from Trader Joes, which I find to be just like home cooked. I'm not really into the kinds you can buy at the regular grocery store (the bagged kind) or the canned chicken--both too mushy and processed to me.)
                        --string cheese and some veggies/dip.
--I also make egg salad a lot (keep hard-boiled eggs ready to go in fridge so it's easy to whip up in the AM) but since you are not into eggs that won't work for you!

Tomorrow I'm going to try sliced jicama and some cheese.

Personally I can't wait to get to the OWL rung with nuts because I think string cheese and an ounce of nuts will be a good breakfast for me--plus I'll portion out the nuts and only bring an ounce so no chance of overdoing it!

I'm with a few of the other posters...eat lunch or dinner for breakfast. My favorite breakfasts have been leftovers.
