  • Guys can quilt too...

With Dawn's and Tammy's quilts, I thought I might do one up as well. When I look at the April one or even my driver's license I can barely recognize that guy any more. He just doesn't live around here anymore thankfully. That guy wouldn't have gone for the nature hike yesterday or the 14.5 mile bike ride today -- well at least without a necessary ambulatory ride afterwards. With 26 pounds to go, I can start to see the guy @ goal staring back at me.

    Here is my weightloss quilt:

I agree Kent. That man doesn't exist anymore. It is such an awesome experience to lose a whole person and change your life so drastically. I was thinking about that earlier today, how some of us have erased enough pounds to create another person.

I read your post and took out my driver's license to see the difference. I had it renewed two years ago. The woman in the photo is 285 pounds and very sad and dead inside. It is amazing that in one year, she has been reborn and now lives a happy enjoyable life.

26 POUNDS, I didn't realize you were so close to your goal. What a fantastic feeling that must be!!! GO KENT GO. It won't be long and you'll be celebrating a perfect success story.

Sometimes I get a little frustrated because the pounds don't seem to be coming off fast enough. Your pics are a good example of what hard work, commitment and patience can achieve. You look fantastic. Especially the big smile on your face.

You look great! And, it's so nice to see a man get in touch with his estrogen. Of course, my favorite pic is still the silver lame Star Trek shirt. You are literally half the size of the person you were before. And, only 26 pounds to go....way to go! You are just an inspiration.
