  • country ribs

    I bought some country style ribs(pork boneless) anyone have a suggestion as to how to cook them and stay induction legal?

    You could just fry 'em up. They're pretty good plain, or you could sprinkle any herbs/spices you like on them first. I'm not much of a cook, so that's all I do.

      just treat them like regular ribs and cook them in a sugar free dry rub. I love them in the pressure cooker thery have more meat them babyback ribs.

          I don't have a pressure cooker is there an alternate way to finish the cooking?

            I prefer country ribs to be slow cooked.

            If you have a crockpot (or other slow cooker) just lay some oil inside, lay in the ribs, cover in some sauerkraut, some carraway seed, a little dry mustard, and whatever other herbs/spices strike your fancy. You can also toss in some onion and turnip if you are so inclined.

            Just let it simmer away all day, and hours and hours later, it will have blended together beautifully.

            You can do this on the stovetop over low heat as well if you lack a crockpot.

              As NulloModo said or just cookin them in a normal pot, low heat, covered and about 30-40 minutes they´ll be soft enough.

                I throw mine in the crockpot with some coarsely chopped garlic and some "Montreal Steak" seasoning, then I let it simmer alllll dayyyy lonngggg and boy is it tender when it's done!!

                Here's a tip for lazy folks like me. If you line your crockpot with an oven roasting bag, cleanup is a lot easier...just throw the bag away!!!

                    DUH!!!! I forgot to mention the water. Yes...of course....I add water to the top of the meat.

                      No problem! I love my slow cooker but I always have to add liquid, thought maybe you had some kinda fancy schmanzy one or something! :geek

                        I like to put boneless ribs in the crockpot with a diced red bell pepper 1 can or sliced mushrooms mix up a bit of soy sauce with sugarfree honey and add some red chili flakes for heat. this is very good I also make it in the oven its great both ways.

                          I pre-boil my ribs in a pot with water for about 15 mins, skim off all the junk, then put them in a crockpot, spice them up add onions, garlic (lotsa garlic), seasoned salt, and pour some Atkins low carb hickory sauce, and let them cook slowly on low. WHen I get home from work, the whole house smells delicious, and they taste delicious. Easy and idiot proof :yes

                            I found this recipe (well ok its not really a recipe but its good ) and what I do is I buy a big package of country ribs and in a bowl I mix whatever seasonings I have like garlic powder, italian seasoning, this little green things that look peices of tiny grass, pepper, oregeno and mix it all up.

                            Then I get a roasting pan and put a very large enough peice that the ribs can be covered and I pur some oil over the ribs then sprinkle the miss on the top, flip them and do the same to the bottom.

                            then I wrap the tinfoil up nice and tight and cook them for 5 hours at 225 degrees and I tell you they are my favorite over anything and country ribs can be had pretty cheap so it works out great.

                            Those are most of all the ingredients I use and there is no real 'set' of stuff you need I ususally just use whats available and never not gotten an awesome result.

                              Zolgor, I have a nesco roaster the settings on it go as low as 220 do you think I could just put them in there in the morning and come home to some yummy ribs.

                              Anyone thoughts on leaving the roaster on all day??
