  • I LOVE BREAKFAST!!

    What do you cook up for your morning meal? I love Sundays when everybody is home. Here is my creation this morning. And I must say my eyes were bigger than my stomach! LOL.
    Sausage patties, oven fried jicama w/onions and garlic, eggs, flax bun and cantelope. MMMMMMMM.....

    what a great breakfast ...where do you put it all???????? :yikes

    I usually do eat 2 eggs with cheese and some type of veggie but that looks like a hardy farm breakfast for sure I want a plate!!!!

      I can´t find jicama :raving

      I love breakfast as well :nod specially in the weekend.

      I normally have 2 whites (not beaten!) with cheddar on it. I cook it like an omelet. Or I have a normal omelet (whole egg) with bacon and mushrooms. That´s my favourite.

      I still miss white bread :anger

          Depends on how I feel (and if I have time), but on weekends I have eggs, sometimes turkey or pork bacon, home fries made with either turnips or radishes. On occasion I'll make a low carb Eggs Benedict. Sometimes I have a wilted green salad with a poached or fried egg on top, unusual but very yummy, imo---hot bacon-vinegar dressing (or sausage and vinegar)
          poured over greens like spinach, romaine lettuce or endive and a poached or fried egg on top of it all.

          I was never a pancake or cereal eater before Atkins so I don't miss that kind of carby breakfast foods. Pancakes used to sit in my stomach like a lump of lead. Cereal---after 30 minutes of eating it, I'd be starving. The only cereal that wouldn't make me feel hungry for 4 hours was Scottish style oatmeal: the kind you have to soak in water overnight, then cook for 20-30 minutes the next morning. Other whole grain cereals had a similar effect on me too.

            Hey whats on the plate that looks like fried potatoes, is that jicama? an if it is where do I buy it an what is it, also what does it taste like cause it sure does look good.
