Hiya,
I have been eating an adaptation of MicroMini's Microwave scambled eggs (Found elsewhere in this forum) every now and again for breakfast. The basic recipe is as follows:
Take a Coffee Mug and spray with cooking spray
Break into it 2 Eggs
Add 1 Dollop of Mayo
Salt and Pepper to Taste
Cook in microwave 20 secs, repeat several times, stirring between each, reducing time each repitition. Remove from microwave when the eggs are still a little wet, stir until done.
Well, those are very tasty, but I got bored and adventurous after a while, and thus were born: Garbage Eggs! (Name shamelessly stolen from Wings to Go 'Garbage Fries', basically french fries topped with anything edible you can imagine).
Garbage eggs take the basic recipe, and just toss in whatever else you want! It doesn't have to make sense, it doesn't have to normally go together, and it always ends up tasty. Some examples I have used: (in addition to the basic recipe above):
Garbage Eggs Buffalo Style
Buffalo Wing Hot Sauce
Red Pepper
Bleu Cheese Dressing
Vinegar
Mustard
Garbage Eggs Horsey Style
Bacon Bits
Dijon Mustard
Big spoon of Hot Horseradish
Tabasco
Lemon Juice
Worchestire Sauce
Garbage Eggs Asian Style
Kimchee
Soy Sauce
Mongolian Fire Oil
Some cold shrimp cut up from the night before
Rice Vinegar
You can see that it is infinitely versatile. Stirring between short cookings lends the finished product a very mousse-like texture, very smooth and incredibly tasty. So now for the contest:
Post your Garbage Eggs variants! Let's see how many cool sub-recipes we can produce, and we can even vote and tell about whose are tasty and whose do the name more justice
. Happy Cooking!
