Default veggie question

I am not a big veggie eater. I have another post on here where people have been great in giving my ideas for veggies and the one recipe I am eager to try is the cauliflower rice. Here is my stupid question. Do I use a regular grater to grate the cauliflower and can I do the whole cauliflower? I have never once prepared cauliflower in any way shape or form! Thanks for the help and advice!

If you have a food processor you can use that, a grater seems to be way to much trouble. While I have never tried the "rice", its easier to chop after you cook it. But break it up into flowers before you start to cook it.

you can use either one you want just grate the amount you need and then save the head ofr other uses.

And be sure you don't over cook your "rice" as it turns to mush

Potato Ricers. OMG. Once upon a time Potato Rices could be found in every store that sold kitchen knives. I spent hours looking for one last spring, K-Mart, Wal Mart, Fred Meyers, and they not only didn't sell them, they didn't know what they were. I finally found one for $27.00 at one of those gourmet shops. I dont think I am going to spend that kind of money for a darn potato ricer. I did finally find a small one for $7. but it was cheaply made and wouldn't have lasted long. So now I have been combing the garage sales and flea markets. Times sure change.
But thats a great idea Kevin.
