Low Carb Recipes. This is by far the BEST fake mashed potato recipe I have tried. The texture is smooth and the taste is EXCELLENT!
Garlic Mashed Turnips
4 servings
Ingredients: 3 cups diced turnip
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup heavy cream
3 T melted butter
salt, pepper
Preparation Method: 1Cook turnip cubes and garlic cloves in boiling water 15 min or til soft.
2 Drain very well.
3Mash turnips (can use food processor), then add cream and butter with salt & pepper.

7 carb, 2 fiber (5 NET carbs), 156 Calories, 14 fat, 1 protein

--I actually only had one turnip at home so I made a smaller version using one turnip, one garlic clove, one TBS of butter and about a TBS of cream with salt and pepper to taste. It was perfect for a single portion!
