Default Zucchini Chips

A friend of mine posted on facebook that she made Zucchini Chips for her family and this is the recipe.....

2 zucchinis sliced thin (about 1/8"). Mix in a big bowl with 1 T. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp garlic powder (opt.). Spray baking sheets with cooking spray and lay the zucchini chips in a single layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes, turning frequently. Then turn down o 300 degrees and cook for an additional 10 or 15 minutes until they are lightly browned. Transfer to paper towels after cool."

Well I tried these and I couldn't get then crispy like a potato chip.. I did leave them just sitting in the oven for a while and some of them got a little bit crispier.. Don't know if Cut them too thick or what.. They still tasted good though

Could you deepfry the zucchini, then sprinkle with seasoning?

Perhaps the 350 degrees is too low. I would think to get them crispy you might need to do 425 or so, but that's just a SWAG (sophisticated wild-*** guess).

The recipe works best if you use a food dehydrator. Living and Raw Foods: Recipe - Sweet'n Crunchy Zucchini Chips
