Default Hiya, I'm new also

Hiya,

My name is Misti. I'm 33 years old. I live in Texas with my boyfriend of almost a year and my 9 year old son from a previous marriage. Both of whom are very supportive of whatever I want to do.

Last year when we met we talked about goals we wanted to accomplish in life. I realized until I met him, I never had any goals, other than just day to day survival. He gave me the courage to think about what it was I wanted in life and how I could get there.

So, as of today, I've met quite a few. I've quit smoking. Cold Turkey, on January 11th of this year (I didn't kill anyone). I started college
as of April of this year. Now, I'm working on the biggest thorn that has always been present for as long as I can remember and that is my weight.

I've always been heavy. I always say I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I were skinny. But in truth, I would know.. I would slide into a booth or not worry if the chair is going to break when I set in it. I would not sneak into a room and try and blend in unnoticed, knowing that because of my weight, I'm the MOST noticed around. I would do alot of things that I can't right now because of my weight.

At any rate, I have finally gotten the courage to tackle my weight and more than one person has mentioned the Atkins diet. I honestly thought I couldn't do it and probably up until this point couldn't have. With the support I have and the determination, I know I can.

I've been on the diet for one week as of tomorrow. I've lost 13lbs. I've been one week without all the things I thought I could never give up and to be quite honest, I feel better than I've felt in a very long time.

I joined the YMCA with my family and have started the FitStart program. I will be working out 3x's a week, at least.

Anyways, that's all about me. I will be looking to post in the Century Club forum as I have way more than 100lbs to loose. UGH! I'm so thankful I found this website! Hope to meet and know you all real soon.

Misti

Hello,

I just love this place!!! My name is Sara, I am 26 and live in Texas. I am on my 16th day of induction. I found this web site and can't stay away from it. Very Supportive!! I was getting a little discouraged a few days ago because not much happened in my second week but I did drink beer so that could have been the cause (duh). Well I am back on track and look forward to learning from all of you on my journey to becoming more healthy and feeling better about myself. Thanks again.

Sara
