Default let it begin

posted this in the 14 day induction because i didnt see this forum :confused

hello, just thought i'd introduce myself since I'm starting this today.

Last year in early april I weighed 330 pounds, and got sick of it so I looked around at diets. After looking through many of them, i decided on the subway diet because it was the easiest for me at the time. I'm a college student and didnt want to cook or anything. I've been on it i'd say 40/52 weeks of the year. It's worked out ok, but lately I havent been motivated to do it, and keep falling off after a week on it etc... I blame easter when I ate, been all downhill since then.

I feel I needed a new diet (one that was strict like the subway diet) so I am choosing atkins. I now weight 253 pounds after gaining 10 from my lowest (243 around late march). I hope I can stick to this eating plan, I need to read the book (gotta buy it today).

i think this diet has better variety than the subway diet does

probably lose weight quicker too

youre going from one extreme to the next though , from sandwiches to low carb

read the book , look in induction thread at all the sticky topics , gain motivation/inspiration from others here , youre in the right place for advice and support

good luck on your new journey

Welcome to the board and the Atkins diet. I think you touched on one of the greatest things of this diet. As supposedly strict as Induction is, I have always found the ability to control what I ate and eat what I was in the mood for most liberating. Glad you found us and our little Atkineer niche.

WELCOME TO THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!! YOU CAN DO THIS!!

I was a skeptic totally that Dr. Atkins knew what he was talking about .. I gave it 2 weeks ..

That was 4 years and 38 pounds ago!!

YOU CAN DO IT!

Welcome to the board!

Great job on the loss so far! I personally think any weight loss is good.

You've found a great source for motivation and support, right here!

Good luck!
