Default My Mental PUSH!!

Hello, I have been lurking for quite a while. I have been large since about 6 months after the birth of my second son (who is now 3). I just got really depressed and quit caring. My oldest son will start school in a year and I realized about 4 months ago that I cannot continue this way. I would have a panic attack anytime I had to go out in public. Getting dressed in real clothes made me cry. (stay at home moms will understand the difference between "Real" clothes and "mommie" clothes) I realized that I could not have a panic attack/ emotional breakdown every morning that I wake up to take my son to school next year. I started to cut my portions and eliminate the "white" food. I also eased into TaeBo. I am now up to and hour of advanced Tae Bo(for about two months) and have started a clean induction on Sunday of last week. When my oldest son (4) sees me doing my TaeBo he says "Good Job Mom, you do your exercise?" And as sillyas it may seem that makes me fell awsome!! Just wanted to say thanks for being a source and for letting me join.

Welcome to the board and posting!! I am glad you found us and shared your story with us. It is amazing though what can happen to us though when we start taking back control of our lives. Typically food choice and selection is only the first step. Again welcome to our family of Atkineers...

Welcome to the board!

You found us! You won't find a better place for motivation and support. That is so awesome that your son notices you exercising. My little ones copy me an try to do pushups and situps, it is so cute. They'll say, " Look Dada, I do exercises!" Which is pretty cool.

Good luck!
