| Johnny, welcome to the board, and I'm so glad you found us. Posts like yours terrify me to a point and I hope you came here soon enough. First off start Atkin's and slam on the brakes on that runaway train to deathville you are on. I was up to 348 (at 36 yrs old) and heading in the same direction. Read the book, and come here often, the people here will inspire you beyond words. Two that leap to mind right away are papajack and bowulf. Papajack is in his 60's and went from over over 400 to 270's and bowulf has gone from over 400 to 235. This can be done several people here used to be TypeII diabetics. Note the words "USED TO BE". Take control of you life and do this, you have so much life left to live. Also have your doctor do your blood chemistries before you start, then do them in again in 3 months on the plan, you will be pleasantly surprised. You can do this! Ane everyone here is pulling for you. Good luck! Edited to add: How are these pics for motivation? Proof positive that it can be done. ![]() ![]()
