Thumbs up Room for one more?

Hello everyone,
I'm so glad I found you. I need all the support I can get. I started doing Atkins a year or so ago and went on a "Carb Holiday" (as my fiance calles it) and I'm just now getting back. Better late than never!

My Fiance, George has been an advicate for Atkins for as long as I've know him (3 yrs) and finally talked me into trying it. I bought the book and register at the website and I even lost a few pounds. Like I said I've (we've) been off the wagon for some time now. Weekend before last we decided it was time to do Atkins again and stick with it. I did great all week and well, I had another carb holiday and kicked myself right out of kitosis. I started up again this morning as after looking around this site and viewing some photos of the "losers" here, I am more determind than ever. You guys and gals are quite the inspiration. Thank goodness I found you.

I am currently 180. I was weighed at my last doctors appt a month or two ago and I was 186. This is THE most I have ever weighed in my life. I can't belive, what the heck happened. I weighed 180 at the time of my sons birth, and I was hugh, I can't believe I am weighing in more than that now. I'm ashamed and embarresed and nothing in my closet fits. I refuse to live like this anymore. I AM going to get control and remain in control of this weight and lose it. Sorry, a bit of a tanjet. OK, so currently 180 highest weight 186 and a goal ( don't laugh) 135 or atleast a size 10. I am a firm believer that inches are more important than pounds.

Thanks again for being here and letting me rant.

Lori

Welcome! Make sure you put your stats in your signature. Just go the the 'user CP' link at the top and click on the Signature link. Feel free to start your own journal at 'journal chats' and put your menu and stats as you lose in 'journal stats'. Glad to have a new one!

Loriv19,

Heck, we always have room for one more, especially since we are all shrinking. The smaller we all get the more we can fit in the site. Welcome! I look forward to getting to know you.

Deb

Thank you everyone. I'm grateful for the immediate and warm welcome.
I created a signature and with all the things I see others have on there signature, I'm sure I'll add more.

Can, will someone give me the low down on some of the acronems use on these boards?

Thank you.

Welcome aboard! This is a great place to be for support and encouragement. Don't be afraid to ask questions, we all do it, I still do, and I've been around for 9 months now.
