Default Introduction Post - It's time

Hi, my name is Angel. I'm one of those people that look in the mirror and go "ew". I often wonder how the love of my life can look at me and see beautiful while I look at me and I see my personality hidden by the body which I now inhabit.

I graduated high school five and a half years ago, where I was extremely athletic in basketball. Though I loved the sport, I was always self conscious because of my 38C chest. I believe my lowest weight to be around 155-160.

Gradually, my life began to change and work became more important than anything as I had moved out of my parents. I got a desk job and the pounds quickly flew on. Currently I have a 40DD and I'm at 210 or so.

I'm really looking forward to trying Atkins, my biggest issue being vegetables. My family never grew up with vegetables, so the taste of most of them make me gag. I can tolerate lettuce, cucumber and celery. Meat, cheese, eggs and most everything else, water included, are not an issue for me.

/hugs. I look forward to talking with you all.

Know that you are on a lifestyle and not a diet. For me, and not saying that this works for everyone, but when I get a lit hungry, I take a couple of Ginsing. Curves my appetite and boost my energy between meals. Work on those veggies!

Welcome to the ADBB and this WOL (way of life). I too started out as a veggie hater. Add veggies slowly, and puree in a blender or food processor if you have to to achieve a non-veggie consistency. I find that cooking veggies like broccoli or cauliflower with meat helps give them a richer flavor. You will be loving them in no time!
