Default Hi, from Arkansas!

Hi, everyone!

I'm Jennifer, 32, divorced and from Arkansas. At the moment, I am planning to begin Atkins Induction next week. I will also be adding cardio and weight lifting to my WOE in order to help the process. I have approximately 100 lbs to lose, so I'll probably be here a while!

I look forward to hearing from you all, and any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Jennifer,
Sorry to hear that you are divorced. I am second marriage, this time things are much better. I am sure it will all work out.
Read all the stickies especially in the induction forum, and if you have not already order The Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution 2002 edition.
This is a great way of eating.

Oh advice, you've come to the right place! Welcome Jennifer! It's great to see you preparing, make sure you get your cupboards and kitchen ready for the big change in your eating habits. Keep plenty of water on hand too, it's a great way to keep the flat flushing out of your body as you lose. Glad to see you plan to exercise, that's also a GREAT way to start off! Good luck, and I look forward to seeing many more posts from you.

Thank you very much. I have been to other places online, and they actually DISCOURAGE exercising with weights and doing cardio. It's nice to know someone here agrees with me

Welcome to ADBB! Read the stickys, they really help. I didn't have my book when I found ADBB, and I never would have made it through Induction without the wonderful people on this board. They are always willing to help, answer any questions, listen to how you feel.
Also, sign up for a fitday account (www.fitday.com). It really helps keep you on track with what you are eating.
Keep us posted on how you are doing!
