| First more water, yes i said more water the rule is 64oz water plus eight ounces more for evry 25 pounds above you goal which if 120 was your goal for example you would also need 40 more oz of water for a total of 104oz- and more I usually have 8oz more for every 1/2 hour of exercise. I bet if you up your water intake in about 4 days you will see that you are not swollen anymore, your body just thinks it is dehydrated. Veggies this is not a no carb diet it is a low-carb woe- 1cup acceptable veggie/2cups lettuce or 3cups of lettuce And we do not recommend processed foods such as peperoni, sausages,bacon,hotdogs,ect........... They add sugars and fillers to them. You should be at 20 net carbs per day Carbs-Fiber=Net Carbs Fitday.com is a great place to keep track.

| Hi angel, You might want to start by reading the book! If you are "eating only meat and eggs and a little cheese" it would seem that you haven't read the book or even the allowed foods list! take the time to read it, it will really help you to understand what to eat and why, so that you can be successful!

| Hi and welcome. I agree, you need to know what you're doing and the book will be your best friend. As mentioned, this is not a no carb diet, but a low carb diet. In fact, during induction you will eat three cups of veggies per day. Just to clarify an earlier post, it's not just lettuce, but lettuce is an option. There are all sorts of veggies under the 'salad' veggie list which you may eat two to three cups per day of including mushrooms, peppers..well the list is very long! Get the book, read the stickies in the main and induction forums and continue to ask lots of questions! I'm so glad to see that you're walking. Exercise is as important as those veggies! |
