| Hi! Welcome to the board and congrats on your weight loss thus far! The koolade issue is a bit different for everyone. Dr. A says yes to Splenda and artificial sugars, however, they can cause stalls and even increase the desire to eat more sugared things. It's different for everyone so use your best judgement on what you can take with artificial sweetners. You'll get to know your body better then anyone Best wishes on your journey! |

| In my opinion, I would say to try to keep away from the koolaid for at least the whole first 2 weeks. This way, you can find out how metabolically resistant your body is to this way of eating. After the induction period, if you still feel the need, give it a shot, and see if it causes any problems for you, such as stalling, or what not. |

| Unsweetened koolaid (the kind people add sugar to) should give you flavor without problems. But if you must add a sweetner, try the smallest amount that satisfies. I use Smokey Mountain liquid, which does not have dextrose added to the saccharin, unlike the packets of powder.
