Default New here! Looking to start a clean induction

Hi! So happy to have found this place. I have been so inspired by the many success stories. I feel such a strength after reading through the threads. I can't wait to join some of the challenges I see, once I understand them! I'm a newbie to message boards so please forgive me if I make mistakes.

My goal is to loose 40 pounds by October-November and 20 pounds by mid July. I know those last 20 may come off slowly, especially for me. Perhaps Atkins way of eating will help me melt them off faster?

I am pre-training for a marathon. Feel I need to take at least 20 pounds off before I can safely begin official training for a marathon. I will start training mid-July for a marathon in November so those 20 pounds need to come off by July!

Talking Re: New here! Looking to start a clean induction

Hey!

So nice to have you here. I am on day 7 of a squeaky clean induction. A word of warning: the first 2 days might be a little ruff. I had headaches, but was able to work through them fine. By day three, I felt GREAT, and have felt wonderful since. I have felt so many transformations in my body (all for the good) in this past week, I feel like i have done it forever. I look forward to seeing you on the forum, and hearing how you feel.

Wow, that was fast! Thanks for the support. I am going to run in the Richmond Marathon in November. My goal is to finish before they end the race and start packing up-just to finish! I was worried I couldn't do both Atkins and train for a marathon. Every book I read on marathon training says you have to eat carbs and lots of them. I was happy to read about people on this board who run without the carbs.

I have been on induction but realized I have not been doing a "clean" induction. Been eating a lot of low carb junk food! I have been loosing weight but it has been slow, now I know why.

Thank you for the welcomes! This really is just what I needed. I was actually doing some search on the net in regards to Atkins and running a marathon and discovered this place just a few days ago. I look forward to learning more-will take your suggestions and read through the recipes.

Also could anyone tell me how to put one of the weight tracker things I see? I found out how to edit my signature but am not sure how to add this.
