| There is such a wide range of different feelings/symptoms that you can have during your transition into this style of eating. Don't be put off by it! Instead, be assured that once your body adjusts it will thank you in the form of all kinds of energy and other benefits. It is great that you and your daughter are able to support each other through this. It is always better to have a buddy when learning new things! Make sure you check out the recipes forum and the journals too. They are both excellent ways of boosting your experience on Atkins!

| Hi Dana and welcome to ADBB and Atkins! Excellent start with your weight loss, for you and your daughter! Is you daughter going to sign onto ADBB too? I'm glad to hear you're following the Atkins way of eating before making a choice of surgery...it's such an awesome diet, full of healthy foods! Since you're living with your DD, it'll be fun for you to check out the Food/Recipe forums and try some of the various recipes! Variety is so very important! There's also a Diabetic forum that you might want to check out! Glad you hear, hope to see you around the board!

| Welcome! You'll love this place. I haven't been able to read the board for a couple of days, and boy did I miss it. I find it very encouraging (almost addicting). Best wishes for you and your daughter. It makes a difference to have someone to share this with. My husband and I are doing it together, and it's been great.
