Smile Hi i'm Mandy

Hi Everyone,

I'm new just registered. I'm restarting atkins on Monday. I'm 180 lbs and got down to 140 just over a year ago when i did atkins last. I put on weight whilst i was in recovery for my Eating Disorder (bulimia) and i feel now i'm ready to diet again but am finding it so hard to get out of the habit of eating what i want when i want.

I really want to do it this time, get healthy, get fit and reach my target.
All my junk food is going and i have stocked up on atkins friendly food i just hope i can do a clean induction and with all your support i think i can.

Welcome Mandy,

I am glad to hear that you had success on Atkins before. That's great because you already KNOW that it works. I'm also glad to hear that you have gotten over your eating disorder. We are open and here for you anytime you feel like confiding in someone whenever you are feeling emotional or even if you want to share something that you are happy about!

After your first few days of induction, when ketosis kicks in, it will seem WAY easier to control your eating habits. By the way, why not start today? Why wait for Monday? Go for it. You've got our support!

I'm currently struggling with the "I'll have it one last time today, and starting tomorrow ..." However, each indulgence I have provides me with a craving for the next indulgence. Of course, the best time to have broken the habit would have been yesterday. But there's always right now!
