| Hi. Welcome to our world. Yes, as a former square butt, I know all too well what you are talking about. Atkins definitely works. Its changed my life and my health. Have you read the new book, Dr. Atkins New Diet revolution, edition 2002? I totally recommend it as it is different from the version that came out in the 70's. You'll find the ADBB to be a major source of inspiration, advice and full of people who are all making Atkins their life-style as they reach their goals and improve their health. | No, I haven't read the 2002 book yet, but I will. Thanks for the kind words and being there for folks like me...I find myself coming back here many times to read for hope & inspiration... thanks for taking the time to really care.

| Welcome on board Prins! You've made a great choice. I tell you, this board is so helpful at so many levels. Make sure you hop around forum to forum, there is a plethora of wonderful information here! I guess the only advice (if I may), is keep reading all the sticky's, keep drinking water, water, water! Try to get out and dosome walking, backed up with all this wonderful food to re-experience! I've only started since Easter, but you know what, it's been fun, not hard at all and I am committed to it!Anyway, welcome again! And good luck! Lets us all know how you're doing! You say you did Atkins in the seventies, so you know the ropes: - the book (DANDR 2002 is the one this board goes by) - the carbs (20 or under for the first two weeks, then OWL) - the water (masses and masses of it! Essential!) - the exercise (as much as you can. Also essential!) Good luck! Looking forward to following your losses... oh and the butt 'rounding'! Lol. Sal

| Thanks again to all. Forgot to give my stats F/54/5'3" SW/220 May 18, 2006 Work midnight shift in police communications... most sedentary job I've ever had. Joined the gym a few weeks ago and am being consistent looking forward to getting everything else in alignment and seeing some results. Thanks Again!!!
