HelpImHeavy is on a distinguished road
Default New and being improved

Hello everyone

Four years ago I was prescribed bed rest for nearly and entire pregnancy and since then I have been overweight. I tried so many other diets and followed a regular work-out plan. Nothing seemed to re-awaken my metabolism. As I neared my 27th birthday I realized that if I don't do something now I will be obese for the rest of my life, like my entire family.

As soon as I heard about Atkins I knew this would work. I have the 2002 edition of the book and I am in week 3. I am doing the extended induction for as long as it takes to get half-way to my goal. I started at 216 and I so desperately want to get back to my old weight of 125 (I am 5'2"). So here I go, wish me luck.

Welcome to the board. You have come to a great place for support. I hope you find your low carb cream cheese, that has become my nighttime snack for the time being.
Good luck on your journey. I am also 5'2, I have set my goal for 140 knowing that when I actually hit that I will lower it to 120. Have any questions ask away, the knowledge around the board is outstanding.

welcome to Atkins and to ADBB.

what you doing for the mandatory exercise part of your Atkins? we have many ongoing open enrollment chasllenges going on in the exercise challeng3e section and the 6 week exercise challenges have their own forum 6WEC. lots of fun and encouragement in them to help keep you going when you don't feel motivated.

Happy low carbing

You have definitely come to the right place for encouragment and inspiration. ADBB is filled with people who are making it happen. I don't think I could have done it without the support and motivation I received from the ADBB.

Glad you read the book. Make sure you drink lots of water, take the supplements and EXERCISE. Atkins works. Take your measurements so you can see yourself shrinking away. I look forward to hearing about your success in future posts!! BEst wishes.
