No problem! That site and the Food and Cooking Chat forum on this site has REALLY helped me. If you are eating foods that are decadent...how could you ever feel deprived???

Thank you! I'm glad I found this board too. So far I have learned a lot and the extra "you can do it" attitude from everyone on here really helps too. Like I said, my main reason for wanting to slim down is so I can be a better mom to my four year old...so that I will be around long enough to see her graduate from college and get married, etc.......

I agree, I think that is something most people dont realize (including myself)...you think *eat lots of meat* but then you think...god that is so boring....well not if you use good cuts or meat or combine it with veggies in a way that would make any four star restaurant proud....i definately have seen that with some of the recipes I have found on here.

EXACTLY! I had buffalo shrimp yesterday...shrimp, butter, franks red hot sauce and blue cheese dressing. Yummy!

Ohhh now that sounds yummy. I forgot that they make shrimp buffalo style as well. I'll have to remember that next time........

It's a beautiful thing when the scale reads lower and the measuring tape is smaller....LOL.


I lost a whole 7 lbs on my first week of induction! That's just a great feeling.

I actually lost 11lbs before I started this (on my own)....so since April 1st...I have lost 18 lbs.

Way to go Seshena! I absolutely LOVE Atkins. I am ticked at myself for not following the plan as Dr. Atkins laid it out the first time, and I'm ticked at myself for stopping it. Not this time. I eat great food, I lose weight and/or inches and all is good in my life. It will be in yours too. This board has been my biggest support system, outside of my husband...as long as you (and I) stay connected here, we'll do great and achieve our goals!!

Thanks Valid! I'm pleased. It only makes me want to continue with it....and continue to better myself. I'm excited. I realize it will slow down but hey...a little is better than me not doing any thing at all.
Aside from this board, I dont really have a support system so I'm taking all I need from here....LOL.
You look like you are well on your way though...I have a lot more to go. Ah well...all in good time.

Anyway, time for me to head home for the day.....
