My Gift to Myself

Hi All! My name is Vicki. What a wonderful forum you have here! So much support! I have been reading everything I can!!

Today I turn forty. YIKES! Thats horrid to say the first time! My gift to myself is to start a new WOE . I have made some pretty big life changes the past few months, I quit smoking, and have been walking on my treadmill, which kept me from gaining, but I have not lost any, so I figured it was time to try something new.My official start will be June 1. I have finals tomorrow, and know better than to start before then!

I am engaged for many years now, and have a 16 year old daughter and a 23 year old daughter who is married and has a 2 1/2 year old daughter, Kara.

I look forward to learning more, making new friends, and someday being able to offer advice to others looking to better their life.

1. What vacinity to you live in Ohio? I lived in Elyria (north...20 mins west of Cleveland)for 9 years

...don't mind me, I'm just nosey when it comes to people that are doing the same thing I am; college and a life while being over 30ish

I live in SE Ohio. Have you heard of Zanesville or Marietta??

I am not a big sports fan at all. We watch Nascar, but thats about it. And lately not much of that.

Gee, when I grow up. Thats a good question. I am taking some accounting and business classes right now. My fiancee has his own construction business so I figure they can't hurt while I decide. I really still just do not know.

I look back on turning forty with fondness. It's true the best years of your life are ahead of you now and you are certainly on the right track Vicki. Now I'll be turning 50 in a couple of years and they say that those years are even better! It's all onwards and upwards now... except on the scale... thats downwards of course! Stay strong. Hope your exams went well.

Me neither. But if one lives in Ohio it kinds seems like a "must be" part of Buckeye pack....thankgoodness I was never forced to watch a game.

I am kinda between Marietta and Zanesville, in the sticks! But we love it here!

2 finals down and one to go Monday. I am so pleased, I got a 96 in Business Management and a 91 in Accounting I. That will make me an A in both classes. Monday I have Marketing final.
