New Life, Again! is on a distinguished road
Default So happy Atkins is working again!

My name is Kimberly and I am a 36 year old, married mother of four. This is my second time going on Atkins. The first time was two years ago when I lost 35 or so pounds.
Well, life has a funny way of throwing things at you when you feel totally invincible! Some changes happened in my life that triggered my emotional eating again and whammo, I gained it all back! No more cute clothes, no more feeling like a ball of energy, gone....just like that! Welome Back to "Frumpsville!"
I finally got help in dealing with my issues in a healthy way and now am ready to be healthy on the outside as well.
I began my Atkins journey on June 19,2006. I weighed 186 and am 6'7.Today is July 1, 2006 and I weigh 175ish. Pretty much in between 175 and 176,but I did just eat a cheese stick and drink Crystal Light.
Anyway, I am the only person I know who is "doing Atkins" right now and I would love to get to know others who are on the same journey.

30 pounds in 11 days? That's pretty amazing.

Welcome to the board and good luck to you.

Oh my! Please forgive my mistake in stating that this time my starting weight was 206 and now I am at 176 after just about two weeks! Did I mention that I am a "Bamble-Brain?" hEE HEE. That was my beginning weight last time. On June 19,2006, i WEIGHED 186 and now on July 1,2006, I am 176. So sorry for the misunderstanding. When I got online today and looked at what people wrote about it being amazing that I lost 30 pounds in 11 days I went to my husband in and got him to do the math, because I thought I was nuts. After I re-read my intro. I fixed my mistake. Thanks for responding even though I sounded like a liar! Kimberly

LOL...hey, we were all impressed. But a TEN pound loss is still awesome! Way to go New Life! So since your two week induction is up are you staying on extended induction or moving on to OWL?

That's not too much to weigh for someone who is six foot seven!

Welcome. I'm confused at the height too. Are you 5'7" instead of 6'7"? Anyways, welcome - we are glad to have you join us. Congratulations on the weight loss so far!!
