New to Atkins....

Hello all,



I've been reading this site for over 3 weeks... but was embarrassed at first to post... however I feel that all of you have become my friends but I haven't allowed myself to become yours.... so here I'm saying hello and introducing myself.



I've always been a little over weight. I use to work-out 2 hrs., a day 7 days a week but life changed and my career took over. I travel a-lot for work. (I’m traveling every week to a different state) so the weight starts coming back and back and back... I got up to a size 12 ( I know this might not be that high for some of you but to me it's the highest I've ever been), that's when I decided to introduce Atkins into my life. I wanted a life style change not just a quick fix.



I'm on my 3rd week of Induction phase. No cheating. Well actually I did 2 weeks without cheating (took a day off to eat fat free yogurt) and got back on it the very next minute. I'm proud to say that I'm in a size 8. However, I'd like to go down to a size 2. We'll see.



Well I’m not going to keep on boring you with my little introduction... Just wanted to say hello... and say that I applaud all of you. I've seen some of your pictures and I must say they are very inspiring.

Welcome, gmf! Good to have you here! I know how it is - the "lurking" (doesn't that sound so... dirty!?) and too embarrassed to post. I went through the same thing last year when i first found the board. But i quickly came to the realization that i wanted to be a part of this wonderful place; to make friends and share my story too... so good for you for taking that step! Maybe you will set an example for others out there who are too shy as well! It sounds like you are off to a great start - keep up the good work! We all look forward to hearing from you!
