| Scooter is so right Joe, you can have that beer later on. Trust, being a big beer fan myself, it just isn't worth it...Talk about headaches and bodyaches.

| Welcome the the Board, Joe! You are not alone. BUT look at it this way - you can do induction for 2 weeks then move onto rung 1 in OWL, then you're allowed to skip rungs with a modified OWL, so you still are controlling your food choices and total carbs, but then you get to add alcohol to the list of choices. Just be sure to cout those carbs, and realize you cannot burn an ounce of fat during the time alcohol's in your system, and it will affect you differently.

| thanks for the words of encouragement.. I have lost 10 pounds just by reading this site and notes from the Atkins site. I have the book now, gotta love ebay.. I'm going to stay on the Induction part for a bit. I find its hard for me to get at least 20 carbs a day being I get full quick. Plus all the water isn't helping. I had to adjust my portion size drasticly.. EDIT *This Spotlight-Introduce Yourself thread has been closed due to extended absence of owner.
