Congratulations on taking control of your weight and beginning a life-style change that will make you healthier and happier. We all start out addicted to our favorite carbs and with the negative thinking that we can't live without them. But, soon you start to feel fantastic, in control of your body and the craving for those carbs goes away.

Make a plan to help you through the times that will arise that are stressful and hard to stay on your weight loss journey. Keep a journal of your success and become active in the forum with challenges, making friends and setting goals for yourself. YOU CAN DO IT. We are all here to help you achieve your goals and make it happen!!!

Welcome aboard! I will say that after going without carbs for 5 months (that is how long it took me to lose all the weight) I no longer crave carbs. I am in maintenance, and have low carb bread, and eat on occasion low carb icecream (made with splenda). Regardless, once you rid your body of the carbs..you will no longer/rarely have gas, acid reflux, acid indegestion, etc. Go for a while without the carbs, and all that goes away. When you go back to eating carbs, it all comes back and it aint purty. My husband had carbs and said "wow, I just farted for the first time in months" LMAO! I know it's a little TMI, but so true! Anyway, give it some time...you won't miss the carbs either. You can do it!!
