Welcome to ADBB, Shannarae! You have found the right place to be. You will find tons of support & advice on this board, and will make lots of friends!

Congratulations on your wedding! That is so exciting. I hear ya on the wedding photos... i felt the same way when i got married. In fact, the one thing that we didn't invest in was a professional photographer, and that is because i was/am so ashamed of the way i look. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on pictures of me fat. So my ultimate dream is to get to goal, feel good in my own skin, and then we are getting remarried... with professional pictures!

Do you have a copy of the 2002 Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution? If so, study it cover to cover - if not, go get it! It is very important to keeping on track. Also, keep coming here and posting. And read read read the forums. It is fun to explore different threads and to meet new people. Welcome, and enjoy!

Hey. You have chosen the right way to lose weight. After about the first 10 days, you will feel great. Thats how it was for me anyways. For me, at first anyways, the thing that got me going was getting myself on a schedule kinda. I would wake up and work out at a certain time, then start my day at that time. Sometimes, depending on my days schedule, I would come back home and go to sleep and if I was tired. If you can just stick it out for the first few days, it becomes effortless. I don't even have a problem wit it anymore. Im not really getting tired of eating like this. I love eggs and bacon for breakfast. Just get into it deeply, and nothing can stop you. You even have a loving husband there for you. Since day 10, I have been single and on my own, and i saw what it is like to have someone there and whats is like to not have anyone there....either way. Congrats on getting married and I am sure you will do awesome on this woe!

I agree with "and 2_balla52" above: you will feel great.

If you feel great and have an encouraging husband, you can take on any challenge!

Try tracking your food and nutrients on FitDay.com. That's been a very encouraging and eye-o-pening site for me. Also, it's free.

Welcome to the board!

I can understand how you feel... I am going to get married in 3 months and I'm trying to make me look less big on those scary wedding pics ...

I also have a very supportive fiancee, and that allowed me to get rid of every single bad carb in the house, so that I wouldn't feel tempted, and it also helped me to learn to cook varied things to make them look not like a diet, for him, what made my everyday eating varied and good...

There are lots of recipes in this forum and also on the net, just watch that they're induction friendly... (just search for low carb recipes, and check if the ingredients are in the induction safe foods).

In this 2 weeks I have learned that all the support you need is in this forum, no question is stupid, so never be afraid to ask.

Also excersise is important, maybe you could join one of the many excersise challeneges on this forum, they're great motivators
