| Welcome to the forum! Deciding to really commit to this is a great desition, and joining this forum is the best tool you'll have for reaching your goal... you'll get mopre support than you can imagine... You should get an account at www.fitday.com , it's free, ad you'll be able to really track the carbs in what you eat... it was a great tool for me. Water was a problem for me too... but it's really important, because your body needs it... you need more water when doing atkins. Also as Dr. Atkins said... excersise is not negotiable, so for getting the best results you need to, if you don't already... there're pretty good challenges to help you stay motivated Any doubts, just ask... the people in this forum are great, and would help you. |

| Hey spitfire, welcome to ADBB!! I owe my success to the people here on this board and the support they have given me. Whether that be coddling, nurturing, or simply practicing some TOUGH LOVE... Read the stickies in all the forums. Some of my favorite forums are the Journal Chats...that's where you'll really make friends and get the more emotional support from the people here. I love the Food and Cooking Chat...if you get bored with food on Atkins, then we know you haven't visited the Food and Cooking forum LOL The Before and After Pictures are just totally inspiring. I look at them over and over. There's a thread called the "Losers Lounge" with people who have been successful at Atkins and their stories...it's really motivational too.

| Excellent choice my friend. You'll find lots of support here!! Lots of really really good people who care and want to help!! I swear, I talk with some of these folks like they lived right next door or I've known them forever. Good Luck on your weight loss and congrats on turning down the cake!! | WOW, look at how nice you people are I really didn't want the cake-really, and I love(d) cake. I am doing much better with the water. I lost 2 lbs. yesterday and it was my first day drinking it like I should. Thinner08---we're sort of in the same neighborhood. I'm just south of Columbus. Thanks again for the warm welcome!
