| well happy late birthday, this is a good place with a lot of really nice people that will give way better advice then me ...ive been doing adkins for about 20days and i guess the best advice is stick to it,you lost 5 pounds thats 5 pounds lighter then you were,,drink your water and stay busy,exercise and have fun,,nothing in life is worth doing it you cant have a little fun. |

| Hi Giselle, What does your menu look like? Are you eating your veggies? Drinking your water? Exercising? All of these things together can lead you to success. Why don't you post your menu so we can see if there's something that you're missing. Don't give up hope. Losing weight takes determination. There may be some bumps along the way, but if you stick with it you'll succeed.

| Thanks so much for your help! about my menu, I'm eating chicken wings that I prepare myself with garlic and some herbs, I also eat beef. I realize now that the veggies I ate maybe did not help because they are precooked and I noticed they have some sugar(broccoli etc). so I decided today to buy the raw ones. I have a lot of trouble to eat b-fast so I found a slim fast shake that is low carb and is sweetened with sucralose, it has like 3 grams of carbs per can and it has fiber. I drink half a can every morning. I've been having trouble drinking water too, but I try to drink 8 cups a day. I take my last meal at 6:30. The 3 crazy days after my b-day I ate chocolate, bread, and all sort of things! embarrasing! but today I'm satarting over. Any comments? Thanks to you all! a big hug!

| Hi Giselle! Welcome to the ADBB. First of all, you must do a clean induction in order to start your body into ketosis and burning fat for fuel. (Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002). Once you read the book, you'll understand how important the first few weeks are. Water, exercise, supplements and eating correctly are essential to make this work its best for you. Make a list of the acceptable foods and carry it with you. Measure yourself, make a plan for success and come here to the ADBB for support and motivation. It will happen.
