| Hi Jerrica, welcome. I’ new here too but I know a thing or two. You are in the right place! A lot of us were with you in the same nightmare and all of us have the same goal, ourselves. Give it a try and you’ll see how easy to follow is. Do it right though, do it for yourself, not for your sisters or your friends, do it because you are lucky, you have a life to live! Cheer up! |

| Thank you for your kind words. I am doing it for me because I am tired of how I have been living my life.

| Hi Jerrica and welcome to ADBB! Day #8 down, whoohoo! That's exciting! I totally identify with you on running into old friends or having to attend functions...it's so hard! When I was my heavist, my sister asked me to be her matron of honor...oh I soooo didn't want to do it, but did for her! Seeing the pictures afterwards was depressing...but it did give me a big push to search for a way to get healthy...and see what I found? Atkins! and start the road back to health! It sounds like you have that same mentality now, that's awesome! Hope to see you around the board!

| Hi, Jerrica. Gosh, I could have written your post myself... except for being asked to squeeze myself into a bridesmaid's dress. I truly can relate. I, like you, am just at the start of my journey (day 9 of induction), and have 100 or so lbs. to lose, too. I will look for your posts and am interested in tracking your progress, along with mine. I'm probably not a place to come for advice (yet!), but I can offer encouragement and emphathy -- I'm right there with you. Feel free to email or PM anytime. WE CAN DO THIS! Take care, and best of luck -- Adena

Hopefully we can encourage each other. It looks like I found my buddy on here. We have even lost the exact amount of weight so far, lol

| Okay, so you are as new as I am, yet you already figured out how to post a graphic next to your name... how'd you do that? I tried to follow the directions, but no luck! How ya doing on your motivation today? How was your weekend? I'm doing okay. Am getting a little bored w/ my food b/c I'm not doing the work/putting forth the effort to try/make new things. I only lost one pound over the weekend -- a little disappointing, but I'm pretty sure it's because I didn't drink my water and probably didn't eat enough (RARELY a problem for me, but between not being really hungry and being bored with allowable foods, I just didn't have the urge). So, I'm trying hard to more closely follow the rules... We can do this, we can do this, we can do this!

| Girl, I know what it's like to hide from the world b/c of being embarrased by weight gain! I'm still doing it. This is the right place for you. I'm on induction day 6 and if you keep coming back here, you are going to have the support you need to get through hard times. I have put a lot of stress on relationships w/ friends b/c I don't want to go out anymore, people will see how fat I've gotten. It's time to take your life back. You can do this. It really works! Staying involved on the board is really important, people are here to support one another's journeys. We understand each other.
