Smile I need help from the pro's

I just started (again) today. As I newbi I need your help. Although I would love eggs in the morning, I simply don't have the time to cook them. I would love some sugestions for an early Atkins breakfast. Also, any other menu ideas and examples would be great. My major issue is motivation. After a week or so, when I don't see the results I want or expect I give up. I need some motivation.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you guys!

I boil a dozen eggs for the week. I grab two eggs with three slices of precooked bacon (1 minute in the microwave) when I am rushed.

I have leftovers from dinner a lot. Or a couple slices lunch meat with a slice of cheese.

Motivation? For me it was keeping up with and being around for my kids. That started it all.

Now the energy, how I feel with no sugar, and how my butt looks in these pants are GREAT motivation.

Stick with DANDR, as written, and watch the miracle happen. Results don't usually come over night, but think where you can be at this time next year!!!

who said you got to eat breakfast foods fix extra dinner use the recipes in the cookbook section to pre cook an entire muffin tin of omlettes.

As to the motivation it needs to be internal for you to be a success. Sit down with paper and pen and write down all the reasons you can think of why you should do Atkins to get smaller and healthier. Then decide which are important to you and make you a card you can take with you and post every where with those reasons read them in the morning and again at night and every time you even think about eatting the wrong food drinking the wrong drink or not doing the mandatory exercise part of your Atkins. then as you accomplish those reasons cross them off and add new ones.

you can do it if you want to but nobody can make you want it.

You could do some mass cooking one day a week, maybe Sunday, and make a bunch of omelettes. 4mysize has a good suggestion using muffin tins too. I've recently learned here that if you freeze your omelettes they don't smell the next morning when you heat it up

I know what you mean about motivation...especially in the morning.

How do you store your boiled eggs, can they be frozen like omelettes?

Just out of curiosity, why is it that you do not have time to make breakfast. I don't mean to sound condescending, but I wake up 15 minutes earlier than I used to, specifically for making breakfast (eggs, I wake up earlier if I want something different).

I know it's inconvenient, but waking up 15 minutes earlier, is the equivalent to going to a fast food place, and ordering one of their carby fake egg on a biscuit things.

I used to say, "Oh, I'll stock up on a bunch of stuff, cook it on sunday, and have it ready for the week." It never happened. I never pre packaged it myself, and I knew I would never get around to it.

Nothing worth having is ever easy. But, it is worth having. (positive reinforcement motivation)

If you really want it, you'll work for it. If you don't, you'll make excuses... (negative reinforcement motivation)

I agree with the others. Sometimes I eat leftovers from the night before, or I'll fix scrambled eggs in the microwave if I'm really in a hurry. As long as you are eating something on the acceptable foods list, it doesn't matter if it is a 'regular' breakfast item. As long as you have something to get your motor going.

As for the motivation, it is something that you have to feel from within. I can only speak for myself, but I reached a point where I could not face the weight. I helped feed my motivation by coming to the ADBB, looking at the before/after photos and educating myself by reading the forums/success stories and making friends with others who were also doing what I wanted to do. I started a journal and re-read it weekly so that I could re-affirm the reasons I wanted to shed the weight. Take your measurements every few weeks to see the inches melting off. (thats a big motivator) If you make a plan of your goals and exercise routines, you'll find it is easier to have something written down that you are working towards. We always make promises in our heads and then forget them or push them to the side. But if you write it down and re-read it as often as you can, it keeps the determination fresh inside your mind.

Everyone in the ADBB is here to encourage you and share in your success. You can do this.

I just store them in the refrigerator they never last longer then a few days. I use them for deviled eggs, quick breakfast, added to salads etc.
