| HELLO FRIEND YOU REALIZED IT AT 24 AND I REALIZED IT AT 37. I HAVE 7 KIDS A HUSBAND AND A JOB AT A BAKERY. NONE OF IT MATTERS AS MUCH AS ME TAKING CARE OF ME. THIS IS A GOD GIVEN SITE. I TRULY BELIVE THAT BECAUSE WITHOUT THIS BOARD FOR SUPPORT, I DON'T KNOW WHERE I'D BE IN MY PROGRESS RIGHT NOW. SO ONCE AGAIN WELCOME AND I HOPE TO SEE YOU AROUND. |

| My plan is to take a death grip hold of this WOE and not let go. It sounds corny, but I am also taking a better hold on my religious life as well. I guess what this past 2 and a half years of DH being gone (and being in Iraq and Kuwait) is that just because even though I believe in God and love him with all my heart as with everyone there is a trust issue. I can not do anything with out Him, or trusting Him. He will help me on my way. I just need to really focus on taking Him at His word as well as this WOE. I know what I currently weigh, and I have that in my signature, but I am not coordinated yet to take my own measurements, lol. I will get those updated when I start back at Curves monday. I sabbotage myself so badly. I get to a certain point, and it isn't that my body stops loosing. The only thing I can think of is that I guess deep down I never thought I was worth all the work. I know there have been several honest conversations with a few of my heavier friends about how I am afraid to do all this work and when I get down to the thinner me, I won't like what I see and it will be all for naught. My MIL is still the devil, just not as bad. I tried talking to her about it, but her end all verse is that she knows how it feels because she was there once too. ![]() Is it just me or is it not annoying for someone who thinks 20 lbs is anything like looking down the barrel at needing atleast 100lbs gone? To me it is like Tyra Banks coming up to me and saying dang I need to lose some weight, I am shamu. (Ok, I exaggerated a bit ) Anyway, to keep this short, I am not giving up on myself this time. And this time, I am asking for help along the way, just in case I kinda stumble or get distracted.

| Welcome back! Congrats on making the decision to do this again. I am in the same situation but was not absent for quite as long so I know where you are coming from. The thing that I am doing to keep myself going is trying to remember how good it felt when I was eating this way and shedding those pounds. If you need to talk come here there are lots of people willing to help. GOOD LUCK! |

| Hi Tammy, welcome back! I really wish I had been able to get it together at 24 like you have, rather than my 40, but I don't guess it matters, what matters is that we are both doing something positive for ourselves!! Don't give up, YOU are worth it!! EDIT *This Spotlight-Introduce Yourself thread has been closed due to extended absence of owner.
