| Hey Blue! Please, I urge you to go buy yourself a copy of the 2002 edition of the DANDR (Dr. Atkins NEW Diet Revolution). It really is imperative that you understand this Way of Eating (WOE) and Way of life (WOL). Welcome aboard, you totally CAN do this and we are all here for you. You may want to create a Journal for yourself at Journals, there's plenty of newbies and lifers that can help you stay on track!

| You can buy it online at Amazon.com, or Borders.com, or barnesandnoble.com Please don't think that you can lose 20 pounds in three weeks. That would not be healthy, or attainable either! I wouldn't want you to set yourself up for dissappointment. Again, it's really important that you understand how this works, so you can do it right. Go to the Induction forum and read around there for some good hints!

| Hi bluedreams All the main bookshops sell it as well as many charity and secondhand bookshops! In fact I was in Lyme Regis this afternoon and saw 2 copies of DANDR 2002 for £1.50 each at the charity shop there!! You will find following Atkins so much simpler if you can get hold of the 'manual'!!

| Blue, you really don't get hungry on the WOE and the reason is because we eat so much fat (60-65%) and fat is filling and sticks with us longer. The strange thing is while we eat a lot of fat, generally we eat fewer calories because of it. A perfect example of an Induction breakfast would be an omelet with some veggie and cheese. Lunch would be something like a tuna salad Dinner could be a chop or steak. Something like that. |

| blue, the majority of your induction should be protein and fats which are usually 0-1 carbs. You should be eating 2 cups of "salad veggies" and one other real veggie (broccoli, zucchini etc) per day and not having over 20 carbs per day. You can log your meals into www.fitday.com so you can keep track, and like desertthorn said, try to keep your fat % at 60-65. Please read this forum so you're not flying blind! http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...splay.php?f=73
