| Sheila, I'm excited for you. Make sure to take a picture of yourself for comparison down the road. Also take your measurements and write those down in some sort of journal. You'll want all of these tools to help you measure your success on your journey.

| oh i have started cutting out soda and all but the other stuff i have to pick up from the store. i just want to do it by the book so that is why i am making my official start saturday nov 11. wish me luck !!!! it is wonderful to meet all of you.oh and Joy I had to show my husband your picture so he can see why i am so dang detemined to make this diet work you look wonderful and it is a pleasure to meet you. |

| Sheila, it's a pleasure to meet you too. My best advice to you is to forget everything you've ever heard about Atkins, then read the book. It's going to change your life. My family is very supportive of my efforts. My husband and stepson eat what I eat when we're all home together. They do have other foods away from the house and from me. We exercise together (they ride bikes and I run). Oh, the other piece of advice I'll give you is to seek out yummy recipes, make your food be better than what everyone else around you is having. Focus on what you CAN have, not what you cannot have. Check out this site for recipes galore http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/index.html and check out the food and cooking chat forum here on ADBB, there is some GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD stuff down there.
