Default My Name Is GLO

Hi! I have been trying to lose weight dieting and exercising and have had no luck at all. My weight is way over what it should be. I desperately need to reduce for my health. I would like to know if there is anyone out there who lives near me and can offer support. I live in Silver City New Mexico. I would even just like to have a dieting budd so we can offer each other encouragement. If I do not see instant results I just give up. Please let me hear from you. GLO

Hi Glo and welcome to the board. This is a wonderful place for inspiration, advice and support... which goes a long way to helping you not to give up if results don't happen immediately (though they usually do!).

I'm sure someone will be along who lives near you....well, nearer than I do at any rate (Italy)!!!!

join an exercise challenge start a journal visit other journals and tell them you arre looking for diet buddies. check the buddies and penpals forum too. lots of ways you can get the support you need from ADBB if you searcxh it out,

Hi Glo! I've seen a few posts you made today around the board. You've come to the right place!

Do you have the 2002 edition of DANDR, have you read it and understand the induction phase?

Don't give up if you see no results quickly. This is a change in a lifetime of eating. You didn't gain weight in a day, and you will not lose it in a day.

There's terrific people around the board that can assist you in every way! My advice is to come to the board each and every day. This will help you make friends, and keep you accountable to this way of eating!

I also like to suggest using www.fitday.com. This is a great tool for knowing exactly what you're eating and keeping track of percentages and calories. Following Atkins has to be 100% in order for it to keep you losing weight!

You really can do this, we really are here to help!
