Default New to Atkins, Hello to all!

Hello everyone I'm Natassia. I'm 18 and finally ready to start Atkins. I've been up and down the last year on stupid useless diets that didnt work and instead made me feel more insecure...well Ive had it now...today I weighed myself and saw a whooping 225! The most I have EVER been, even in those depressing hs yrs! But Im ready to take charge and I hope you guys can help with the motivation part along the way. I've never been on Atkins so any helpful advice is great. Thanks so much!

Hi Natassia. You've come to the right place to receive motivation. We've all started with a history of 'diets' behind us. The best advice I can give is to buy the book, Dr. Atkins' New Diet Revolution. Read it, and make a plan to succeed. Doing a clean 2-week induction will help you with cravings and start your body into burning fat. Create an exercise routine that works for your schedule. Drink lots of water and take supplements.

Becoming active in the ADBB was one of the best things for me. I found I wasn't alone. The support and encouragment I received from others who understood how I felt was fantastic.

Best wishes. Keep us posted on your progress!

Hi Natssia, Good for you on starting, this is my first day. I think being able to talk with other people will help when we have a day where a whole box of ice cream sounds good! Good luck to us!
