Splenda so far has been ok, but a lot of sweeteners will spike your blood sugar and that's what you're trying to avoid. Water weight will also happen if you've not drank enough water. I've learned that we need 64 ounces of water plus 8 additional ounces for each 20-25 pounds to reach your goal plus additional water to compensate for exercise. Too little water and our body holds it instead of letting go, hense the water weight.
