Default Just starting

Hi everyone, this is my 2nd day and I just want to sleep! is this normal?
My name is Paula I am 5'6 and to my shock, am now 216 pounds! I tend to be an emotional eater and to add being a stay at home mom, spells disaster, and gaining ALOT of weight!
I seen some great photo's out there thanks to all of you who are brave enough to do that, I have trouble just looking in the mirror these days!
I am determined that this diet will work!

Hi Paula

Welcome to this WOL - you're gonna love it! The first few days, some people experience induction flu, as long as your eating the rights foods and getting your water in, this will pass in a day or so and then watch out, the energy fairy should come and visit! Keep us updated and good luck!

Hi Paula

I thought it would help to hear from someone else on Induction! I'm on day 10 at the mo and on Day 1, 2 and 3 I was exhausted! The tiredness was something else! DBF couldnt believe how tired I looked as well. But on Day 4, it was like I had been injected with energy and its stayed that way since. I feel really great. I've stuck to the induction rules and drank loads of water and checked in on ADBB every day. It keeps me motivated.

I know you'll start feeling great soon Paula. Keep to it.

Hi Paula-

Completely utterly normal. You'll be tired for a few days, you'll probably have a headache in the afternoons (sort of like a sinus headache), you're going to really want to eat carbs in the afternoons too. To avoid the headache, I recommend eating a lot of legal snacks in between meals especially in the afternoon.

Then, after like 3-5 days, it'll go away, you'll have more energy, and you'll feel great. You just have to get through that initial bit! Good luck!

Yes, it is completely normal. It lasts from 3-5 days and then you'll start to feel great with a burst of energy. Also, make sure you take your measurements cause it is very motivational to see the inches you'll lose as well as your weight going down. Best wishes!!! You've got a great support system here with people who want to see you succeed!!
