Default One More Time!!

Hey guys! Well, here I am getting intimate with Dr. Atkins one more time! I first tried the wol back in 1998 and lost around 45 lbs with an ending weight of 132. I actually got down to 128, but 132 was easier to maintain. I felt great, I looked great. It took me approximately 8 months to take off this weight (sloowwww metabolism). Anyway, I kept it off for quite awhile and would go back into induction if I put on weight...that was until things started going south for me. I had a breast reduction and the tests of the tissue they removed showed cancer. I then went through 4 more surgeries after that and just finished up two weeks ago. I am fine, it was caught very early and I took major actions to rid myself of it. However, I am now much over 132, you can see my signature. I started last Monday and have lost 8 lbs already! I know this diet works...I've lived it. I just need to live it again.

I've been on and off this board all week and thought I would jump in. I actually joined this board in 2005, I think. I was a member on another board earlier but this one seems so caring. I thought I would join you guys.

This is a hard time of year to do this, but I thought I would get a head start on the holidays.

L~

Thanks for listening and I hope to get to know you guys better.

Glad you are here. The best thing about coming back to Atkins is that you KNOW it works...you just have to have the willpower to stick with it. I know that this time will be amazing for you. I wish you the best of luck in your second time around...your health and happiness awaits!

Welcome back to Atkins!

As Chasin2kids says, you've done this before so you know it works! Now all you have to do is get into the mindset of a lifestyle change rather than a diet. Actually, that might not be as hard as it sounds... for me, it just sort of happened. I'd started without meaning to change for life, but eating this way just got easier and easier until I found I was living the life!
Think positive and concentrate on all the wonderful things you can have, rather than the foods you should avoid.
We're all here to help. Why not join an exercise challenge...a fun way to help the weight disappear. Also, you might like to take a look at the Second Time Around Club where there are plenty of people who've moved away from Atkins for a while, only to return to success and better health. Lots of tips to be had there.

Looking forward to reading about your Atkins journey! You can do this!

Thanks so much for the encouraging words. It's nice to know there are people out there that understand.

I actually got on the scale and had lost another 2 lbs but am a little reluctant to post it just yet. Think it was too good to be true! It won't be long though.
