| Hi Callybop! Welcome to the board. 42 pounds will come off in no time. I'm very proud of you for not weighing and relying on doing induction properly to see some results. Lots of people who don't weigh do measure them selves at first. Sometimes the inches that come off are startling! Good luck to you.

| Hey, welcome to ADBB!! Sounds like you've got the right attitude to succeed, andgreat decision not to weigh yourself until after the two weeks. That's something that is highly recommended as people tend to get discouraged if they're not losing 5lbs a day! I'm sure you'll do great and best of luck!

| Thanks sillygirl, higgies & tracie and hello to you all! Sillygirl, I forgot to say in my first post I did actually take my measurements on the first day, which I'm glad I did cuz I'll have more to compare with now than just what the scales will say. Good luck to everyone and well done on your current successes. And Higgies, you look great, well done! |

| Hi CallyBop and welcome to ADBB! You seem to have a positive attitude which is great! Measuring yourself at the beginning was a sensible thing to do as sometimes we can lose inches rather than pounds for a while. I always regret not doing so at the start. I'm sure you'll soon shed your 42 lbs if you stay focused on your target. Happy low carbing!

| Hi Callybop. Welcome to our family. Sounds like you have a good plan -- with the encouragment and support you will find here, I'm sure you'll do great! Have you read the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, edition 2002? Its filled with lots of inspiration, advice straight from Dr. A and case studies of his patients who have made this work for them. I get a lot of strength in reading and re-reading it. Best wishes and keep us posted on your progress. You can do it!
