Cool one more time

Hello all,
I hope I figured this out right. Anyway, I am a retired police officer (female) who got hurt on the job and after 4 knee surgeries, got retired out, good thing too as I had gained 30 lbs. Shortly after that, my husband died, so I didnt care, and gained another 30lbs. I seemed to have leveled off at 184, but its been 10yrs. I watched my daughter grow, trying to loose weight here and there with minor successes, then evertual regains. I also ride horses and I can tell you that when you are heavy, it is much harder to ride.

So I am trying again, I find Aktins hard, but effective. I miss my sugar, but I know I have to do this.

Anyway, thanks for listening

Hi, Donna. Welcome to ADBB. We have quite a few things in common. I lost my first husband in 1996, I'm sorry for you loss, I know how that feels. I have horses and quit riding as my weight kept climbing. I need to get back to it now that my weight is almost normal.

The Atkins WOE and this bulletin board has turned my life around. I hope you'll have the same experience. I look forward to seeing you around.

Hi Donna, Welcome! Sounds like you've had alot to overcome! You can overcome this too! One day at a time and it all comes together

Tickers - once you have the ticker set up, you'll see a 'code' it creates. Paste that code into your signature in your profile - go to user cp (up near the top header lines), click on edit signature, paste the code right in there.

Welcome to the board notreadytogiveup! This is a great place to be, and a great way to eat! It may be difficult in the beginning, but as you go along and carbs leave your body, you will not crave them anymore. Also, as you move up the rung, some delicious treats can be had and you still won't miss sugar!
